meibomian, a. Anat.|maɪˈbəʊmɪən| [f. Meibomius (see below) + -an.] The distinguishing epithet of certain sebaceous glands in the human eyelid, discovered by H. Meibom (Meibomius) of Helmstadt (died 1700).
