[mod.L., f. Gr. ἀνθρακ-, ἄνθραξ anthrax + -osis.]
Deposition of carbon particles in the lung; also, a severer form of such deposition, e.g. coal miner's pneumoconiosis. Hence anthracotic |-ˈɒtɪk| a., pertaining to or affected with anthracosis.
