macro-scale|ˈmækrəʊskeɪl| Also macro scale, macroscale. [f. macro- + scale n.3] A large or macroscopic scale; spec. in Chem., the scale of macroanalysis. Macro is freq. apprehended as an adj. qualifying scale (cf. macro- 2).
