lumachella Min.|l(j)uːməˈkɛlə| Also 8 lumachelli, 9 lumachel, lumachelle, lumachello. [a. It. lumachella little snail, f. lumaca snail. Cf. F. lumachelle.] A dark-coloured compact limestone containing shells which frequently emit fire-like reflections; fire-marble.
