zirconian, a.|zəˈkəʊnɪən| [f. prec. + -an.] = zirconic; spec. in Min., applied to a mineral in which zirconium replaces a (small) proportion of some constituent element (cf. -ian 2). zirconian syenite = zircon-syenite (zircon b).
