▪ I. low-five, n. slang (chiefly U.S.). Brit. |ləʊˈfʌɪv|, U.S. |ˈloʊˈfaɪv| [‹ low adj. + five n., after high-five n.] A gesture of celebration or greeting in which two people slap each other's hands with arms extended at or below waist level. Cf. high-five n.
