▪ I. † renge, n.1 Obs. Also 4 reng, rengge, 5 reenge. [a. OF. renge (Godef.), related to renger, -ier, to renge. The var. range was also adopted in ME., and finally became the standard form: see range n.] A rank, row, line, esp. of fighting men.
