Ypresian, a. Geol.|iːˈprɛsɪən| [ad. F. ypresien (A. H. Dumont 1850, in Bull. de l'Acad. des Sci., etc., de Bruxelles XVI. 11. 368), f. as yperite: see -ian.] Of, pertaining to, or designating the lowest stage of the Eocene in western Europe, lying above the Landenian. Also absol.
