‖ llano (ˈlɑːnəʊ, Sp. ˈʎano) [Sp.:—L. plānum plain, plane.] A level treeless plain or steppe in the northern parts of South America. Hence Llaˈnero, llaˈnero, an inhabitant of a llano (see also quot. 1878).
