live-in, a.|ˈlɪvɪn| [f. vbl. phr. to live in (live v.1 12).] Resident, residing in the establishment (as opp. to living out or at home). So ˈlive-out a., that lives out. In quot. 1966 used in the sense ‘deliberately living in as a form of protest’. Cf. -in suffix3.
