‖ lithospermon, -um|lɪθəʊˈspɜːmɒn, -əm| [mod.L., a. Gr. λιθόσπερµον, f. λίθο-ς stone + σπέρµα seed; adopted by Linnæus in his Systema Naturæ (1735) as the name of a genus.] A herb or sub-shrub of the genus so called, belonging to the family Boraginaceæ, native to Europe, northern Asia, or North America, and bearing white, yellow, or blue flowers.
