▪ I. yodel, n.|ˈjəʊdəl| Also jodel, yodle, erron. jödel. [f. next.] A melody or musical phrase inarticulately sung with interchange of the ordinary and falsetto voice, as by Swiss and Tyrolese mountaineers. Also transf. any cry resembling this.
