linamarin Chem.|lɪnəˈmærɪn| [a. G. linamarin (Jorissen & Hairs 1891, in Pharmaceut. Post XXIV. 659), f. L. līn-um flax + amār-us bitter + -in1.] A bitter crystalline compound, C10H17NO6, which occurs in flax; the glucoside of acetone cyanohydrin.
