Liesegang Physical Chem.|ˈliːzəgæŋ|
The name of Raphael Eduard Liesegang (1869–1947), German chemist, used attrib. (esp. in Liesegang ring) and in the possessive to designate (the formation of) concentric rings or parallel bands of precipitate following the diffusion, one into the other, of two dissolved substances that react to form a slightly soluble precipitate.
