lexicostatistic, a. Linguistics.|ˌlɛksɪkəʊstəˈtɪstɪk| [f. lexico- + statistic a.] Of or relating to the statistics of vocabulary. Also ˌlexicostaˈtistics n. pl. const. as sing., a branch of linguistics closely allied to glottochronology.
