Launder-Ometer orig. U.S.|lɔːndəˈrɒmɪtə(r)| Also Launderometer, launderometer. [f. launder v. + -ometer.] The proprietary name of a machine for making standard laundry tests, consisting of a number of jars clamped to a rotating shaft in which the washing is carried out.
