lamellicorn, a. and n. Ent.|ləˈmɛlɪkɔːn| [ad. mod.L. lāmellicornis, f. L. lāmella thin plate + cornū horn.] A. adj. Belonging to the Lamellicornes of Latreille's system or the modern group Lamellicornia of beetles, having antennæ characterized by a lamelliform club. B. n. A lamellicorn bettle, as the dung-beetle, cockchafer, etc.
