lallation|læˈleɪʃən| [n. of action f. L. lallāre to ‘sing lalla or lullaby’ (Lewis & Sh.). Cf. F. lallation.] †a. Childish utterance (obs.). b. An imperfect pronunciation of r, by which the sound of that letter is confused with that of l; lambdacism.
