Found with chromic iron at Bissersk, Siberia; also at Texas, Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania. 1926Amer. Jrnl. Sci. CCXI. 284 Chlorite includes as end members..(7) H4Mg2Cr2SiO9 (kämmererite or Kr). 1928Q. Jrnl. Geol. Soc. LXXXIII. 647 The most extensively-developed chromiferous silicate in the Shetlands is the chrome-chlorite (kämmererite). 1958Amer. Mineralogist XLIII. 954 Chromium substitutes into both the octahedral and tetrahedral positions of chlorite. Above 2 per cent chromic oxide content, the former are termed kammererite, and the latter kotschubeite. |
