anastatic, a.|ænəˈstætɪk| [f. Gr. ἀνάστασις resurrection; cf. στατικ-ός causing to stand.] Of the nature of revival; spec. applied to a printing process, in which facsimiles of writing, drawings, or letter-press are produced by a transfer process from zinc plates.
