whizgig|ˈhwɪzgɪg| [f. whizz + gig n.1] An object that whizzes round, as a revolving humming toy: cf. whizzer a, fizgig 2. Also attrib. So whiz-jig [cf. jig n.1 6], in quot. applied (? allusively) to a pumping apparatus.
