A mucopolysaccharide composed of galactose and sulphated acetylglucosamine units which is found in the cornea and in costal cartilage.

CCV. 611 A polymer composed of N-acetylglucosamine, galactose, and sulfate in equimolar portions.., a novel type of sulfated mucopolysaccharide, we propose to name keratosulfate. 1960G. K.
