keeshond|ˈkeɪshɒnd| Also -hound. Pl. -honden. [Du.] A grey, long-coated dog, a variety of the spitz, of medium size, with a fox-like head, pointed ears, and tail curled over the back; originally a Dutch or German breed.
1926Westm. Gaz. 10 Feb., Kesshonds [sic] will find many admirers on account of their showy wolf-coloured coats.
