Kabyle|kəˈbaɪl| Also Kabail, Kabile, Kabyl. [Arab. ḳabā'il, pl. of ḳabīla tribe.] A member of a group of Berber peoples inhabiting northern Algeria and Tunisia; these peoples collectively; also, the Berber (Hamitic) language of these peoples. Also attrib. Kabyle dog (see quot. 1945).
