XXXVII. 153), f. the name of Bohuslav Ježek, 20th-century Czech mineralogist.] A fluophosphate of sodium, calcium, and aluminium now recognized as identical with morinite.
1916Mineral. Mag. XVII. 352 Ježekite. 1954Ann. Acad. Sci. Fennicæ A. III. xxxix. 86 This work gives a description of the zoning in the lithiumpegmatite of Viitaniemi, Eräjärvi, Central-Finland, including the order of crystallization of 43 Pegmatite minerals. Phosphates—Triplite,..Morinite, Jezekite, Hureaulite and a new mineral..are described. 1958Amer. Mineralogist XLIII. 594 The presence of 1.1 ion of Li in the ježekite unit cell seems very doubtful; more probably there was some amblygonite contamination. 1962Ibid. XLVII. 398 (heading) Ježekite is morinite. Ibid., It is stated by Frondel (1947) that x-ray and optical study of morinite..showed it to be identical with ježekite. This was confirmed by Fisher and Runner (1958), who however considered that the name ježekite should be dropped, since morinite has priority. 1993A. M. Clark Hey's Mineral Index 471/1 Morinite... At one time regarded as the same as jezekite, but the former name has priority. |
