presbycousis Med.|prɛzbɪˈkuːsɪs| Also presby(a)cusis, -ac(o)usia |-əˈkuːzɪə|, -kousis. [mod.L., f. Gr. πρέσβυς an old man (cf. presbyopia) + ἄκουσις hearing (ἀκούειν to hear).] Loss of acuteness of hearing due to age.
