Ixionian, a.|ɪksɪˈəʊnɪən| [f. L. Ixīōni-us adj. (f. Ixīōn, Gr. Ἰξίων: see below) + -an.] Belonging to, or resembling that of, Ixion, a mythical king of Thessaly, who was punished in the infernal regions by being fastened to an eternally revolving wheel.
