amygdalin Chem.|əˈmɪgdəlɪn| Formerly -ine. [f. L. amygdala almond + -in chem. form.] C20H27NO11 + 3H2O; a peculiar substance found crystalline in the kernels of almonds and other stone fruit, and amorphous in the leaves of the cherry-laurel, etc. It is one of the glucosides.
