isochimenal, a. and n.|-ˈkaɪmɪnəl| Also isocheimenal. [f. F. isochimène (introd. 1817 by Humboldt), f. Gr. ἰσο-, iso- + χειµαίν-ειν to be stormy or wintry, f. χεῖµα winter-weather, storm.] A. adj. Indicating equal mean winter temperatures: said of lines on a map, etc. (see isocheim). B. n. An isochimenal line, an isocheim.
