ipid, n. and a.|ˈɪpɪd, ˈaɪpɪd| [a. mod.L. Ipidæ, f. Gr. ἰπ-, ἴψ woodworm.] A. n. A bark-beetle of the family Ipidæ, which is now included in the Curculionidæ. B. adj. Of or pertaining to a beetle of this type. Cf. scolytid.
