[f. inter- 4 a + Gr. νεῦρον nerve: see neural.]
‘Situated between nerves, or between neural spines or arches’ (Syd. Soc. Lex.); applied spec. to the dermal spines or bones supporting the dorsal fin-rays in fishes (cf. interspinal). b. as n. (pl.) = Interneural spines.
