interactionism Philos.|ɪntərˈækʃənɪz(ə)m| [f. interaction + -ism.] The theory that in the causal relations between mind and body the causal influence runs in both directions, in sensation from body to mind and in volition from mind to body. So interˈactionist n., an adherent of interactionism; adj., of or pertaining to this doctrine.
