ammonide Chem.|ˈæmənaɪd| [f. ammoni-um + -ide.] A combination of ammonium with a metallic or other oxide; called also ammoniuret, and formerly, as an ammonia salt, ammoniate. (Little used; these being now viewed as metallic (or other) salts of ammonium; as carbonic ammonide = Ammonium carbonate.)
