†1. The place or part where the yolk of an egg is formed. Obs.
1650Sir T. Browne Pseud. Ep. (ed. 2) iii. xxviii. 151 A greater difficulty..is, how the sperm of the Cock..attaineth unto every egg, since the vitellary or place of the yelk is very high. 1687Phil. Trans. XVI. 482 Now this Fecundation seems to be in the Vitellary, and not in the Uterus.
