amboceptor Biochem.|ˈæmbəʊˌsɛptɔː(r)| [G. (Ehrlich & Morgenroth in Berl. Klin. Wochenschr. 11 Mar. 252/1), f. L. ambo both + receptor.] In Ehrlich's theory of immunization, a receptor having two combining or haptophoric groups of atoms, by which it unites both with the immunizing body and with the complement. Opp. uniceptor.
