increscent, a. and n.|ɪnˈkrɛsənt| Also 6–7 incressant, -ent. [ad. L. incrēscent-em, pres. pple. of incrēscĕre to increase: see -ent. In the form incressant, a. AF. incressant = OF. encreissant pres. pple.] A. adj. Increasing, becoming greater. Chiefly of the moon (esp. in Heraldry): Waxing, in her increment.
