impanation|ɪmpəˈneɪʃən| [ad. med.L. impānātiōn-em, n. of action f. impānāre: see impane.] In Eucharistic theory: A local presence or inclusion of the body of Christ in the bread after consecration: one of the modifications of the doctrine of the real presence.
