1. Of phenomena, etc.: Not mechanical; not of physical or material nature, origin, etc.
1715Cheyne Philos. Princ. Relig. i. (1716) 43 The Cause of the Motion of this subtill Fluid, which is the Cause of Gravity, is in itself Immechanical. 1748Hartley Observ.
