ilicic, a. Chem.|aɪˈlɪsɪk| [f. L. īlex, īlic-em (see ilex 2) + ic.] Of or pertaining to the holly; in ilicic acid, an acid contained in the leaves of the holly. So ˈilicate, a salt of ilicic acid; ˈilicin, the non-nitrogenous bitter principle of the holly.
