Vacutainer, n. Med. and Vet. Sci.|vækjuːˈteɪnə(r)| [f. vacuum n. + container n.] A proprietary name for an evacuated container in the form of a test-tube sealed with a bung which is used, with a double-ended hypodermic needle, for the collection of samples of blood.
