urethra Anat.|jʊˈriːθrə| [a. late L. ūrēthra (whence F. urèthre, urètre, It., Sp., Pg. uretra, Pg. urethra), a. Gr. οὐρήθρα, f. οὐρεῖν to urinate.] The membranous tube or canal through which the urine is discharged from the bladder.
