‖ hydria|ˈhaɪdrɪə, ˈhɪdrɪə| Pl. -æ. [L. hydria, a. Gr. ὑδρία a water-pot, f. ὕδωρ, ὑδρ- water. Cf. hydre.] A water-pot; in Archæol. a large Greek jar or pitcher for carrying water, with two or three handles.
