Horner's syndrome Med.
[Named after J. F. Horner (1831–86), Swiss ophthalmologist.]
A condition marked by abnormalities on one side of the face (including a contracted pupil, drooping upper eyelid, sunken eye, and a local inability to sweat) and caused by damage to the sympathetic nerves on that side of the neck.
