unsubscribe, v. Chiefly Computing and Telecomm. Brit. |ˌʌnsəbˈskrʌɪb|, U.S. |ˌənsəbˈskraɪb| [‹ un- prefix2 + subscribe v.] intr. To remove one's details from an electronic mailing list, newsgroup, or similar service and thus cease to receive or contribute to its contents. Freq. with to, from. Occas. in imper., as the e-mail command requesting such a removal. Also trans.: to remove (a person or his or her details) from a mailing list, newsgroup, etc.
