hippus Ophthalm.|ˈhɪpəs| [mod.L., f. Gr. ἵππος horse.] Tremor of the iris; esp. a rhythmic contraction and dilatation of the pupil independent of the light intensity; also, a complaint of the eyes, such that they are always winking.
