hiortdahlite Min.|ˈhjɔːtdɑːlaɪt| [ad. G. hiortdahlit (W. C. Brögger 1888, in Nyt Mag. f. Naturvidensk. (1889) XXXI. iii. 232), f. the name of Th. H. Hiortdahl (1839–1925), Norwegian chemist: see -ite1.] A rare mineral, essentially a fluoride-containing silicate of zirconium, sodium, and calcium, found in yellow triclinic crystals.
