Hezbollah|hɛzbəˈlɑː| Also Hizbollah, -bullah. [a. Pers. ḥezbollāh, Arab. ḥizbullāh Party of God, f. ḥezb, ḥizb party + allāh Allah.] The name of an extreme Shiite Muslim group, esp. in the Lebanon (see quot. 19862). Also Hezboˈllahi, a member or adherent of this group.
