hexactinellid, a. and n. Zool.|ˌhɛksæktɪˈnɛlɪd| [f. mod.L. Hexactinellidæ (f. Gr. ἕξ six + ἀκτίς (ἀκτῖν-) ray + L. dim. -ell-): see -id.] A. adj. Of or belonging to the Hexactinellidæ, a family of siliceous sponges.
