‖ Heteropoda, n. pl. Zool.|hɛtəˈrɒpədə| [mod.L., f. Gr. ἑτερο- hetero- + πούς, ποδ- foot.] a. A group of Crustacea including forms with 14 feet, some of which are adapted for swimming. b. An order or subclass of Gastropods, having the foot modified into a swimming organ. c. A group of Echinoderms.
