Heraclean, a.|hɛrəˈkliːən| [f. L. Hēraclē-us, also -clīus, a. Gr. Ἡράκλειος, f. Ἡρακλῆς (see Hercules): see -an.] Pertaining to Heracles. Heraclean stone (lapis Heraclēus, λίθος Ἡρακλεία): the magnet, so called from its great attractive power.
